The Mayor is wrong!! You can not add the assessment for a business to the October 1, 2011 Grand List when it opens over two months (Dec. 2010) after the assessment date. This is so wrong on many legal points.
The mayor is groveling for votes. Voters will only find this out after the election, and when the Grand is complete in January.
The mayor had nothing to do with bringing this to middletown! Perfect time for the mayor to release this. He is nervous because of the results of the primary. Last swings before his strikeout! Come on Mayor, first the water dept. Now this! How low can we go?
No your wrong. Everything they add to the building prior to oct 1 will go on grand list this year. After oct 1 goes on next year. All mayor said was it will grow grand list which it certainly will.
The Eye reported on this business coming to Middletown a week ago when they went before the Economic Development Committee. http://middletowneyenews.blogspot.com/2011/09/econ-dev-committee-deals-with-vacant.html
How does our Mayor plan to fill the very large hole in our Grand List created by the departure of Aetna from our fair city?? That is the real question. Thirty jobs and $750,000 will not fill that hole to any relevant degree.
I don't know whether the Mayor's claims are true or not. Mark Twain famously remarked that 'a lie could run around the world six times while the truth is still trying to put on its pants'.
How is the mayor to blame for trying to right whats going wrong with this department??? Seems like your a Dem doing damage control running a smear campaign via blogs

Nice try Mayor!!! But caught lying again.
Drew says he will magically create jobs and is a business owner- so its ok for him to lie???
