Emerson Regatta Saturday, On the River

The Emerson Regatta takes place this Saturday, June 4th from 9am - 4pm.  The regatta is hosted by the Middletown High School Boys and Girls Crew.  The event takes place on the Connecticut River right here in Middletown.  The center of the action is around the MHS Crew boathouse.  The rowing teams competing are from schools with crews from all over the state.

The regatta is named after Fred Emerson, who helped develop rowing in Middletown.  Through his generosity many of the public school crew programs in the state were able to get donations of equipment and connected to resources and continue to grow today, offering many of our state's students an opportunity to be involved in an exciting sport.

The Emerson Regatta is designed to be a fun end to the crew racing season.  Events included are boats of Juniors, Seniors, Lightweights, Mixed gender and Alumni to name a few.
Please come out and support the rowers and enjoy a beautiful day along the river.
