
The two buildings were declared blighted structures by the city, but an effort to save the homes by offering them at a fraction of their value was not successful.
After the demolition the remaining lot will be owned by the city, and may be offered to interested parties, including neighboring property owners who have expressed interest in them as off street parking for tenants.
Warner notified members of the Economic Development Committee of the demolition at their regular meeting on Monday.
