Mother and Son Arrested For Drug Dealing and Handgun

On April 19, 2011 the Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the MPD SWAT Team, Major Investigations Unit, and Patrol Division executed two Search and Seizure Warrants at the residence of 418 Long Lane and 74 Santangello Circle. We had received numerous complaints concerning these addresses from concerned citizens and the Middletown Housing Authority that two black males were working together in order to sell narcotics out of the residences. Tyquan Jackson was selling out of 418 Long Lane and a 17 year old youthful offender was selling out of 74 Santangello Circle.

As the SWAT team entered the residence at 418 Long Lane they discovered three parties who were detained. One was identified as one of the targets of the investigation Tyquan Jackson age 24, another was identified as Lisa Jackson age 41 the mother of Tyquan and the third party was a nine year old. Lisa Jackson struggled with officers as they were attempting to hand cuff her.

Inside of the residence was 5.6 grams of marijuana, an accessible loaded .45 caliber Sig-Sauer handgun, a box of ammunition, narcotic packaging materials, a stolen 2008 Kawasaki dirt bike, numerous gang related documents depicting “Crip” rules and regulations, and over $1500.00 in US currency.

The Department of Children and Families was notified as the child had access to the firearm and marijuana, their investigation remains ongoing.

Tyquan Jackson was subsequently arrested for the following charges and held on a
$300,00.00 Bond:

Criminal Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Larceny 3rd
Possession of less than 4 ounces of Marijuana
Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell
Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell within 1500’ of a School
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Risk of Injury to a Minor

Lisa Jackson was subsequently arrested for the following charges and held on a
$10,000.00 Bond:

Interfering with the Execution of a Search Warrant
Risk of Injury to a Minor

As the SWAT team entered the second residence at 74 Santangello Circle they
encountered several parties, one of which was the second target of our investigation, The Youthful Offender age 17. Also located in the residence were Brance Hendricks 23, Gina Hendricks age 41, and Sandy Pierce age 45.

Inside of the residence at 74 Santangello Circle were numerous plastic “Apple” brand
bags commonly used for packaging narcotics. There were no narcotics located within the household.
