Everyone Outside:

Tackling "Nature-Deficit Disorder,"

One Person, One Classroom at a Time

Join us this month and hear about Everyone Outside, an innovative, county-based education program that is bringing kids and adults out to explore the natural world just a few steps beyond their doorsteps and schoolyards. Program founder and local outdoor educator Lucy Meigs will give us an overview of her multi-faceted approach, which includes an interactive website, free classroom curriculum for teachers, field trips, guided hikes (including Frog Fridays! ) and a volunteer docent program--how about volunteering this spring?

The New England Emporium

Located in the Main Street Market in Middletown, NEE features a daily selection of savory soups, crepes, sandwiches, hot specials and "decadent sweets." This is B.Y.O.B.--bring something to share and glasses/openers will be provided.
