The Common Council will vote on whether to accept the city's newly negotiated contract with Local 466 at tonight's meeting.
They will also consider a revised ordinance which defines an existing law about keeping poultry and other farm animals on property in the city.
Thursday, it's reported, that the Council will take up new business at its community discussion at Macdonough School. In an unusual move, the Council will actually do Council business, and not just allow public comment at the Thursday meeting. The business to be considered is the purchase of security equipment for City Hall. After a recent gun scare at City Hall, the Council will continue the discussion about need for security at City Hall, though a previous plan for increased security had been killed when it was proposed to make a single entrance to the building, forcing all visitors to register at the door.
Anybody know the details of the poultry ordinance?
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ed,
ReplyDeleteI am certain that the Council will not be voting on the 466 contract tonight, and perhaps not even at the 3/10 meeting.
