Amato's toy store shut down late this morning after a backup of furnace exhaust filled the store with a pale blue haze that could have been hazardous to employees and patrons.Firefighters positioned exhaust fans at the doors to eliminate the fumes. They could not say whether the exhaust backup was whether related, or when Amato's would reopen.
