So once a month, for the next four months we will offer one specific workshop, with the first one focusing on cyber-bullying. The exciting part about this workshop is that it will be presented by a team of Middletown teens (picture below) who took part in the Youth Service Bureau's annual summer research program. The students spent an intensive six week period learning about research methods, picking a topic, talking to leaders and experts, surveying the community, examining their data, and developing a presentation. It will be held Jan. 26th at Keigwin Middle School starting at 7pm. Additionally that night, the Keigwin administration will be sponsoring a workshop from 6-7pm that will include a piece for adults (how to manage adolescent stress and information on nutrition) provided by the Community Health Center and for teens on bullying provided by staff from Rushford. A light diner will be served at both 6pm and 7pm and courtesy RSVPs are appreciated so that enough food will be available (info on flyer). Hope to see you there...
"Youth 4 Change" will be presenting on Jan. 26th on cyber-bullying. |
