Tonight: Council Workshop on $700,000 Bond Ordinance For Wellfield Shoreline Protection

The Common Council will be holding a Workshop tonight on the proposed River Bank Stabilization to protect the City's wells on River Road (see article below).

The Council is considering the following Bond Ordinance:
An ordinance appropriating $700,000 for the Water Wellfield Shoreline Protection Project and authorizing the issue of $700,000 bonds of the City to meet said appropriation and pending the issuance thereof the making of temporary borrowings for such purpose.
The Council is scheduled to vote on this bond ordinance at its January 3rd meeting.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6PM, in Council Chambers. It will start with a workshop, at which representatives from the Water and Sewer Department will present a PowerPoint presentation on the conceptual plan, and field questions from Council members.

After the workshop, there will be a Public Hearing on the Bond Ordinance.

The Council will also be holding a Community Public Meeting in Council Chambers tonight, it is scheduled to begin at 7PM. The Community Public meetings provide an opportunity for the public to provide comments on any topic of concern.
