Salvatore "Flash" Faraci, a widely admired former Police Captain died on Tuesday during a doctor's visit.

  1. RIP Flash. You're probably having a blast up there with the other "old-timers" that have gone before you.

  2. Flash was the "gentle-man" of iddletown. I remeber hearing stories of him from my parents. As grew older I had the privilege of knowing him. He always had a kind word, a story or a 'card" or paper with an inspirational story or saying. His legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of Middletown. There is now a void in the City. He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to his family. God Bless, Deb Kleckowski

Flash you were one of the great ones in the police department and will be sorely missed by the community you so loved, protected and dedicated your service to: From a great Football Athlete at Middletown High who dazzeled the fans with your speed and tenacious play; From a young man who fought for his country in Korea and represented Middletown as one it's bravest; From an outstanding and steller career within our Middletown Police Department through your dedication and investigative skills you, established one of the finest Investigative Bureaus in our state; from my first moments as a new officer in our department you allowed me to grow and develop my leadership abilities and gave me the confidence to move up through the ranks as it's Deputy Chief: You were and always will be my role model. As I continue on my path in life, continuing within my law enforcement career field and my political service to our community, I will continue to hold next to my heart your favoite saying "Every day is a gift'! Yes Flash, every day you were that special gift to our city, our department and to me personally!

Rest in Peace unitl our paths cross in heaven!!

Phil Pessina, Ret. Deputy Chief and Councilman...

  5. Flash, I see you've joined your heavenly band of angels. You were always in tight with them.

You'll be missed here but now that you have some celestial influence, can we please ask a favor? Maybe you can work it for Middletown's common good, because you know we could use someone to put in a good word for us.

But that's probably something you're already working on.

Thinking of you, Sandy and Godspeed, Flash.
