Energy Workshop To Achieve Tax Credits

From the Clean Water Fund/Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge

On SATURDAY, 12/4 from 3 - 5 PM at the Portland Senior Center, the Portland Clean Energy Task Force and Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge will host a workshop to help residents benefit from soon-to-expire federal Energy Star tax credits. A 30% tax credit (up to $1,500) for making energy-saving home improvements is expiring at year's end. The workshop will cover which energy-saving technologies are covered by this tax credit, will provide guidance on choosing the most cost-effective options, and will walk residents through state rebate and federal tax credit paperwork. Home Energy Solutions companies Lantern Energy and New England Conservation Services will be on hand to offer practical advice about adding insulation and replacing heating and air conditioning systems and appliances.

Due to limited capacity, advance registration is requested. Please email
