There is a total of $10,000 available for this opportunity. The award period will be from January 2011 – June 2011. Middlesex United Way’s Affordable Housing Impact Team will review all requests, conduct site visits as needed, and recommend one or more proposals for funding.
Requests for already existing services will need to clearly demonstrate how this grant will enhance and/or increase your services. While not necessary, requests that support the goals of the Middlesex County Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness (TYP) are preferred, as long as they are consistent with one or more of United Way’s five year goals:
1. Increase children’s readiness to learn by school entry
2. Increase the economic self-sufficiency of individuals and families
3. Reduce the rate of risky behaviors among youth and adults
4. Improve the health and increase the safety of individuals and families
5. Increase the ability of individuals and families to attain affordable housing
To download a Fund Request Form and a copy of the TYP, visit middlesexunitedway.org. All requests must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 to ed.bonilla@middlesexunitedway. org.
