Council Members Receive Subpoena From Board Of Education Attorneys

At least three Common Council members have received subpoenas today to appear in court for a lawsuit issued by the City against the BOE in an attempt to seek an injunction against the destruction, alteration or removal of BOE financial documents.  The subpoenas were issued by the Board of Education.  An earlier post here erroneously identified the source of the subpoenas as the City of Middletown.

It's a big day for Council subpoenas, as the Council and the mayor have been subpoenaed to appear in a lawsuit about Harbor Park.  Attorneys for the owner of Harbor Park restaurant, have subpoenaed city officials over the city's challenge of a lease renewal on the restaurant site, which is owned by the city.
