Stabbing on Liberty Street

From the Middletown Police Department

On 03-12-10, at approximately 9:00pm, the Middletown Police responded to a 911 call from a stabbing victim at 66 Liberty Street. Upon Police arrival, the accused was immediately apprehended in the driveway of the location. The investigation revealed that the accused was attempting to enter the third floor apartment of said address and was being denied by the victim. The accused was able to push her way through the door and a physical confrontation ensued between her and the victim. During the struggle, the accused was able to gain access to a knife from within the kitchen area and stab the victim. The victim was transported and stabilized on scene and transported to Hartford Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The accused, Gloria Hall, age 45 of 695 Main Street, Middletown was arrested and charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree. Hall was held on $100,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on 03-15-10.
