Transportation Director Mike Milardo confirmed at Tuesday night' BOE meeting that Middletown's contract with DATTCO stipulates a 50-50 cost sharing if Middletown asks for seat belts on buses or if the State should require them. Middletown is in year two of a five year contract.
The actual cost of seat belt installation isn't known at this point...just waiting for a return call from DATTCO's VP of bus operations.
