In a sign that charity and generosity do not disappear in hard times, Gilead Community Services held its fourth annual Quizine for a Cause and raised thousands of dollars for the non-profit mental health services agency Sunday.
The event included 21 sponsored dinners at homes and restaurants around town, and then a gathering for dessert at Fayerweather Hall on the Wesleyan Campus, where a live auction, a tea-cup raffle and a trivia contest provided Gilead with funds to operate programs in the coming year.
