Live from 1-2 PM on
WESU, 88.1 FM, from Wesleyan University.
Hosts: Ed McKeon and Richard Kamins
Guests: Musician Rani Arbo, who with her band Daisy Mayhem, celebrates the release of their new family CD,
Ranky Tanky, Saturday at 2PM in Crowell Concert Hall on the Wesleyan campus. Also, Ruth Ann Johnson, independent candidate for mayor.
I thought “cool CD cover!” so my daughter and I went to Saturday’s Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem concert and have been singing along since. I especially love their cover of Cat Stevens “If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out” -- it is lovely and joyful. And the animal songs are contagious. My daughter has been spontaneously breaking into song with verses from “They All Ask’d for You” and “Bear to the Left”, complete with dance moves from the concert, all with a huge smile on her face. Their CD is an instant family favorite.
