The annual picnic and meeting of the Westfield Residents Association will be held on Monday:
July 13th, 6PMThe WRA will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and soda; all other food is potluck. The food has always been excellent, according to WRA chairperson, Arline Rich, "The creativity in the past has been a delight for taste buds and the source of jovial conversation as diners explore the variety of foods."
Smith Park (on the north side of Country Club, between Moody School and I91)
The Westfield Residents Association represents the interests of those residing in Westfield; members monitor developers and municipal decisions that affect the area, and provide input to Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetlands, and Common Council when appropriate. It was founded in 1981 as the "Westfield Residents for Rational Development of Middletown," but changed its name about 5 years ago to the more mellifluous WRA.
Anyone interested in Westfield issues, or interested in joining the WRA, or simply looking to picnic with neighbors, is welcome to attend the picnic.
