Lesser Announces Office Hours in Westfield Saturday

From the office of State Representative Matt Lesser

State Representative Matt Lesser (D-Durham, Middlefield and Middletown) will be holding office hours on Saturday, May 16 from 10-12 PM at the Third Congregational Church in the Westfield section of Middletown. The Church's address is 94 Miner Street, Middletown, CT 06457.

“I really want to hear people’s thoughts and concerns, but getting to Hartford to meet with me is difficult for most people,” Rep. Lesser said. “Making myself available in a casual spot where folks can stop by and chat with me just made sense.”

Representative Matt Lesser is serving his first term representing Durham, Middlefield, Rockfall and part of Middletown in the 100th District. He serves on the Energy and Technology Committee, Public Health Committee, and Education Committee.

  1. I wonder when Rep. Serra or Rep. Hamm will have their office hours... they've been in office forever and yet i never see them asking about what the common folks think!!!!

    Vote them out

Good question, I have sent correspondence to these and other leaders of Middletown to see if they would be open to holding once a month town meetings with our residents. This would allow them to reamain in contact with those they represent and allow residents to voice concerns and suggestions on a regular basis. Unfortunatly, I have not recieved responses. I hope that in the future this will change as more residents require leaders to be more accesible. Government for the people by the people is not possible without involvment by both leaders and those they serve.
