From the Middletown Police Department:
On 03/12/2009 at approx 5:30 pm, The Middletown Police Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Detective Bureau and the Patrol Division executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at the residence of 33 McKenna Drive. The accused, Darius Baker was the target of a prolonged investigation conducted by the Street Crime Unit. He had been allegedly selling large amounts of heroin within the City of Middletown for several months.
Upon execution of the Search Warrant it was suspected that Baker had flushed heroin in the upstairs bathroom in an attempt to destroy evidence. Street Crime Detectives were able to shut the water off and collect the evidence. In the residence Detectives also located Crack Cocaine along with prescription narcotics. The estimated street value of the heroin is approx $500.00 dollars.
Baker was subsequently arrested for the following charges;
* Possession of Heroin
* Possession of Heroin With Intent to Sell
* Possession of Heroin 1500ft School Zone
* Possession of Crack Cocaine
* Destruction of Evidence
* Possession of Narcotics (Prescription Narcotic)
* Fail to Keep Narcotics in Original Container
