Tuesday Evening Jazz

The new jazz series at Public, 337 Main Street, started on a very hectic Election Night and will continue on Tuesdays through the foreseeable future.

This week, impresario Trevor Davis has brought in an impressive group of Hartford-area players including bassist Paul Brown (who, for many years, was responsible for the Monday night Jazz in Bushnell Park series.) Joining him will be saxophonist Norman Gage, guitarist Rich Goldstein and drummer Jocelyn Pleasant. Davis will most certainly sit in on drums for several pieces.

Not only will there be fine music but also free hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. It's scheduled for 5 - 9 p.m.

  1. Thanks for the plug, and for supporting jazz in Middletown. Beth Emery even came down after seeing it in the blog!
So when is the Middletown Eye buying the M. Press?
